frequent QUESTIONS

There can be a lot of unknowns when you're trying to find the right wedding planner. We've gathered a few of our most frequently fielded questions about working with a wedding planner to demystify the process.

When should I book a planner?

The best time to hire a planner is when you feel like you need the help of a planner! That could be the day you get engaged, or just a few months before your wedding.

We find that our couples get the most value from our services if they book at least 6 months before their wedding for Wedding Management, 9-12 months for Partial Planning, and prior to setting a date and venue for Full Planning.

What does a Two Pines planner do?

A Two Pines Planner works for you! Depending on the service you hire us for, we will take on planning tasks and communication on your behalf. We will meet with you regularly to go over the status of your wedding plans, make decisions, and look for solutions before problems arise. All of our services include our Signature Wedding Day Coordination: a comprehensive suite of tasks our team will handle on your wedding day. These include setup and strike of approved decor, vendor oversight, timeline management, implementation of weather contingency plans, and much more!

Does Two Pines offer Day-Of Coordination?

No, we do not offer "day-of" coordination, but we will coordinate all the details of your wedding. "That doesn't make any sense!" you might be saying to your screen, and you're right. Let us explain:

We feel that "day-of" coordination is an inaccurate term; we prefer to call our service Wedding Management because there's so much more involved in successfully executing a wedding day that feels effortless than just showing up the "day-of."

We work with our Wedding Management clients starting three months before their wedding to make sure we fully grasp their plans and vision. This also gives us time to build trust so you can be confident that our team has every detail covered on the big day.

Our venue/caterer has a coordinator, do we need a planner?

We love working with venue and catering coordinators, but they are not the same as a wedding planner hired by you. The venue/catering coordinator works for their respective businesses, and the scope of what they can help you with will be limited.

A planner works for you! Not only will a planner help with facets of the wedding planning that venues/caterers cannot, but we'll go to bat for you. We'll make sure your vendor team is providing the services you truly need to make your dream wedding day a reality.

Which planning service do I need?

We offer Full Planning, Partial Planning, and Wedding Management. The service that's right for you depends on a number of factors including when you decide to book a planner, and how much planner support you want. In short:

Full Planning - Typically booked early in planning, planner handles virtually all details. White glove service.

Partial Planning - Typically booked early-mid planning, planner takes on tasks where you need support most. Customizable, flexible.

Wedding Management - Booked early/mid/late planning, planner reviews your plans and ensures they unfold smoothly on the wedding day. Efficient.

How much does a planner cost?

Typical investment for a wedding planner runs between 10% - 15% of your overall wedding budget, depending on the level of service you book.

We find couples get the most out of our services when they have a budget of at least $700/guest, or $35K.
